Lunchtime Concert: Duo Jackson

Lunchtime Concert at Nelson Centre of Musical Arts.

Miles and Margarita will present the world premiere of a work by English composer Vincent Lindsey-Clark, commissioned by Ian Holding. The work is programmatic in style and relates to an accident many years ago, in which Margarita broke her left wrist. The eight sections run together:

2. Trauma
3. Solo
4. Returning
5. Pain, anger, frustration
6. Searching for control
7. Regaining
8. Rehabilitation

The Duo will also play one of their compositions, Andalucia—a three-movement work written while on sabbatical in Southern Spain.

3. Sevillanas

Also on the programme are two works by Schubert, Idyll, written for the Duo by John Mills, and Three Greek pieces written for Cinema.
