Tomarata Orchard is a farming enterprise specialising in Australian fresh lychees. Tomarata is the branding for our fresh lychees on the export and domestic market.

Lychees are a difficult fruit to value add to, as before you start they have to be peeled and deseeded. Their first Lychee liqueur was produced in 2010 from 800kg of hand peeled lychees. From that they made 900 bottles of Lychee Liqueur, that were sold in just 6 weeks. They knew then they needed to investigate how they could do this without so much labour by the following lychee season. They were able to modify a prototype machine to do this in a small way, but using one person instead of 6. They bottled their first Sparkling Lychee Wine in 2016 and has since been an outstanding success. Being semi-sweet it lends itself to both palates. In 2017 they bottled a small run of a semi-sweet red and semi-sweet white. Both runs sold out at the end of 2017 very quickly and these have now become a highly sought after product from the range. They have a retail outlet on the Bruce Highway, south of Maryborough named Lychee Divine that is the Satellite Cellar Door where they sell the full range and other local, Queensland and Australian products.
