Mayfield

Mayfield Garden is a magnificent cool climate garden located in Oberon, New South Wales, Australia.

It is one of the world's largest privately-owned cool climate gardens and has become a significant part of the tourism industry in the Central West region. The garden is accessible every day with an entry fee, and the entire privately-owned estate is open to visitors for a brief period during each season.

Established in 1984 by Garrick Hawkins, the garden features over 15 hectares of lush gardenscape, including greenery vistas, an avenue of trees, and vibrant seasonal colors. It is divided into two main garden areas, Mayfield Garden and the Hawkins' Family Private Estate. The site was formerly a sheep farm, and agricultural activities still occur on the surrounding 2,025 hectares.

Mayfield Garden offers a café and produce store that showcases local products and services. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash. Wedding and professional photography are allowed in the garden, with applicable fees. The private family garden is open seasonally and features seasonal events, music, recreational activities, expanded food offerings, and a maze for visitors to explore.
