Middle Beach

Middle Beach is a secluded and beautiful attraction on the Sapphire Coast near Merimbula.

It is surrounded by forested slopes and has stunning cliff faces overlooking the beach. The beach is approximately 500 meters long and can be accessed by a steep track with stairs. It is known for its pristine rock pools, fishing opportunities, and clear waters for snorkeling.

It is important to note that Middle Beach is an unpatrolled beach with treacherous tides. Visitors should exercise caution and check weather and ocean conditions before swimming or entering the water.

The best time to visit Middle Beach is during the warmer months of December to February when temperatures range from 20 to 24 degrees Celsius. To get to Middle Beach, visitors can start at the unsealed car park on Cliff Street near Yarai Street. From there, they can take a track and stairs that descend steeply to the beach. This provides a scenic hike down to the beach.
