Description

Mimosa Rocks National Park is a stunning national park located in New South Wales, Australia.

It is located approximately 329 km southwest of Sydney, and can be found near the charming towns of Tathra and Bermagui. The park is a part of the Ulladulla to Merimbula Important Bird Area, an area of immense importance for birdlife, specifically the swift parrots, identified by BirdLife International.

Mimosa Rocks National Park starts at the northern end of Tathra Beach and runs north for about 16 km. The park is close to Bournda National Park and has five access roads from the Tathra-Bermagui main road.

The park offers four main campsites: Gillards, Middle Beach, Aragannu, and Picnic Point. All campsites have barbecues and non-flush toilets available. The campsites are perfect for those seeking a more immersive nature experience.

Traditionally, this country belongs to the Yuin people. The recommended walk in the Mimosa Rocks National Park offers visitors an excellent opportunity to learn about the rich cultural heritage of the Aboriginal people in the area.

Mimosa Rocks National Park offers unique and diverse terrain. The elevation of the terrain on average is 69 meters above sea level. The most recent addition to the park was the acquisition in 1999 of 260 acres subdivided from the Murrah Gardens Estate owned by the Hammond family, which includes the coastline of Bunga Beach and Goalen Head. With stunning views and beautiful surroundings, it is a must-visit destination for nature lovers.
