Located at the south-east corner of Eldorado township, Monument Hill Lookout offers a unique opportunity for visitors to reflect on the history of Australia while enjoying stunning panoramic views of the town and the surrounding Chiltern Mt-Pilot National Park.

The lookout is home to a monument honouring Edwin Baldwin, a farrier who died serving in the Boer War. The walk to Monument Hill Lookout starts from the museum in the centre of town, where visitors take a short and steep walk on an unformed track to reach the lookout. From atop the hill, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the town and the surrounding Chiltern Mt-Pilot National Park. Monument Hill Lookout can be visited throughout the year, offering stunning views of the town in different seasons. Monument Hill Lookout is located in Eldorado township and can be accessed by taking the laneway heading to the base of Monument Hill from the museum in the centre of town. The walk to the lookout takes approximately 18 minutes return and is graded as 3 in difficulty level.
