Located at an altitude of 1,076 metres, Mount Blackheath Lookout Blackheath offers breathtaking views of the Kanimbla Valley, Great Dividing Range, and beyond.
The lookout is situated at the end of Shipley Plateau, surrounded by bush, small farms, and orchards.
At the lookout, visitors can relax and take in the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. It's a perfect spot to watch the sunset or sunbathe while enjoying the warm sun that illuminates the valley. Cyclists can also ride up to the lookout on the bike-friendly route of Shipley Plateau.
The lookout is a great place to visit throughout the year, but the best time to go is during Autumn or Winter when the sky is usually crystal clear, providing fantastic views of the valley and mountains.
To get to Mount Blackheath Lookout Blackheath, it's approximately four kilometres away from Blackheath town. Visitors can take the dirt sections along Shipley Plateau, passing by small farms and orchards, until they reach the very end of the track. Once on-site, there are car parks available.
