Visitors can walk up to the Mount Dandenong Observatory for a spectacular view of the city of Melbourne, and there are several trails run by the Dandenong Ranges National Park trail network for wandering experiences.

The Mount Dandenong Arboretum is located in the Dandenong Ranges and is about 1 hour and 30 minutes away from Melbourne. Visitors can take the Puffing Billy Railway to Belgrave Station and take a short bus ride to the Arboretum. Alternatively, visitors can drive their car and take the Mount Dandenong Tourist Road.
