Description

Welcome to Mummel Gulf National Park, a natural wonderland located in New South Wales, Australia.

The park is situated approximately 487 kilometers north of Sydney, and around 50 kilometers southeast of Walcha on the unsealed Enfield Forest Road. If you are coming from the Oxley Highway, the park is 12 kilometers to the south.

Mummel Gulf National Park is an essential refuge for native flora and fauna. The national park boasts tall, open eucalypt forest and wet sclerophyll forest communities. You can also find snow gum (Eucalyptus pauciflora) forests around Porters Camp, which is situated in the higher parts of the park. The park also includes different types of trees like messmate (Eucalyptus obliqua), mountain ribbon gum (Eucalyptus nobilis), silvertop stringybark (Eucalyptus laevopinea), blue gum (Eucalyptus saligna), diehard stringybark (Eucalyptus cameronii), and New England blackbutt (Eucalyptus andrewsii). Broad-leaved pepperbush (Tasmannia purpurascens), a popular shrub that flowers in the spring and summer, can be found in the region.
