Description

Myall Park Botanic Garden is a serene and picturesque heritage-listed botanic wonderland located in the Western Downs Region of Queensland, Australia.

It spans 5 hectares and boasts a collection of over 10,000 trees, shrubs, and flowers from all around the globe.

The garden has a rich history and is recognized as a heritage-listed site of national cultural significance. It dates back to 1940 when the Nichols sisters began planting trees on their family property. In 1984, the garden was officially established and has been open to the public from July to October ever since.

With its diverse range of plant species, the Myall Park Botanic Garden is a botanist's paradise. Visitors can expect to see a variety of succulents, cycads, conifers, hibiscus, azaleas, and rhododendrons. Rare and unusual specimens, such as the Pachypodium namaquanum cactus from South Africa and the dawn redwood from China, can also be found.

The garden is not only home to a wide array of plant life but also attracts a diverse range of fauna. In addition to exploring the garden's flora and fauna, visitors can enjoy various activities such as self-guided tours, nature walks, and picnics. The garden provides picnic tables, barbecues, and toilet facilities for visitors' convenience. One of its unique features is the "Wattle Whispering Pavilion," an Australian-themed shade structure where visitors can rest and admire the garden's beauty.
