Nature Trail

Nature Trail is a beautiful walking trail located in Carnarvon National Park, Queensland, Australia.

The trail starts in the Carnarvon Gorge visitor area and can be accessed along the main walking track or through the Carnarvon Gorge. It is a loop track that is approximately 2.4 kilometers long and takes around 1 hour to complete. The trail is an easy walk and is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. It is surrounded by stunning scenery, including towering white sandstone cliffs, prehistoric cycads, and more than 2,000 examples of Aboriginal rock art. Along the trail, visitors can see a variety of wildlife, including wallabies, kangaroos, and a range of bird species. The trail also leads to the Rock Pool, a beautiful swimming hole that is perfect for a refreshing dip on a hot day. Facilities and amenities are available at the entrance to Carnarvon Gorge, where a large, grassy picnic area is set amongst towering eucalypts and cabbage palms. Wheelchair accessible toilets and showers are also available. Visitors can also stay at the nearby Takarakka Bush Resort, which offers a range of accommodation options, including camping, cabins, and glamping tents. The trail offers stunning scenery, a range of wildlife, and a refreshing swimming hole, making it the perfect place to spend a day exploring the beauty of the Australian outback.
