Description

Entirely submerged reef in eight metres that offers a rewarding dive within a small area, with interesting arches, caves and tunnels and excellent invertebrate life.

North Lump is four and a half kilometres north of Hillarys Boat Harbour. It is suggested that you anchor on the leeward side. The reef is not a complete block but composed of many rocky outcrops interspersed with numerous gullies and canyons.

North Lump lies in a sanctuary zone within Marmion Marine Park. Look but don’t touch fish and other marine animals. All marine life in sanctuary zones is protected.

• Do not dive into this reef when the wind is greater than 10 knots or if there is a moderate swell.
