Bell Block Beach is a popular swim spot located at the end of Mangati Road in Taranaki, New Zealand.

The beach is surrounded by rocky reef on both sides, which makes it a great spot for surfing and fishing. The sandy beach is perfect for sunbathing and swimming during the summer months. The beach is easily accessible by car, and there is plenty of parking available.

Bell Block is a town in Taranaki, New Zealand, located 6 km northeast of the center of New Plymouth and 1 km from the outer edge of New Plymouth at Waiwhakaiho. Waitara is about 9 km to the northeast. New Plymouth Airport is located immediately to the northeast of Bell Block. Much of New Plymouth's heavy and medium industry is situated around Bell Block, which led to heavy traffic congestion. Construction of an arterial bypass of the town commenced in late 2006. A previously unknown Maori Pa site was discovered during site investigations and was excavated by archaeologists prior to construction.

The Coastal Walkway is a 14 km walkway that stretches from the Port all the way to Bell Block. It is suitable for walking, biking, skating, pushchairs, scooting, and practically anything you like. Along the walkway, you’ll find playgrounds, cafes, and smaller walkways. These allow you to plan your journey to suit the people you’re exploring with. The Te Henui Walkway branches off the Coastal Walking, heading inland. It is a great option for those who want to explore the forest of native trees and ferns.

Bell Block Beach is also a great spot for hiking. The Walkway to Bell Block Beach Loop is a 2.3-mile loop trail near New Plymouth, Taranaki. It is generally considered an easy route and takes an average of 47 minutes to complete. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. If you're looking for a vantage point for stunning views of the rugged Taranaki coastline, Sugar Loaf Islands, and Tasman Sea, then you should climb up the short, steep path to Paritutu Rock. It is located near Bell Block Beach and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area.
