Forest Lodge

Forest Lodge is a unique backpacker lodge located in the heart of Castle Hill, Canterbury, New Zealand.

The lodge offers affordable accommodation in dorm rooms with a self-catering kitchen, a large sunny lounge and dining area, and spectacular mountain views. It is situated in a prime location that boasts access to a new network of mountain trails and is surrounded by native beech-forest.

The lodge offers backpacker-style accommodation with mountain views. It is 4.3 miles from Mount Cheeseman and features ski storage. Skiing, mountain biking, and hiking are among the activities that guests can enjoy near the hostel. The lodge is off-grid and relies mostly on solar power throughout the summer months.

The Forest Lodge has a picnic area, outdoor furniture, BBQ facilities, and a garden. Guests can also enjoy shared facilities such as a kitchen, lounge/TV area, board games/puzzles, and a designated smoking area. The lodge provides amenities such as toilet paper, a toilet, and a shower. Additionally, the lodge offers a drying rack for clothing, fire extinguishers, and smoke alarms. Linen hire is available for $5 per person per night.

In terms of payment, Forest Lodge accepts cash and bank cards. The lodge has a flexible refund policy, with a 75% refund up to one month from booking, a 50% refund from one month to 48 hours out from booking, and no refund within 48 hours of booking. It is off-grid and relies mostly on solar power throughout the summer months.
