Theatre Royal Hotel

The Theatre Royal Hotel in Kumara, New Zealand is a historic gold rush hotel that was once a renowned theatre.

It is the only fully restored gold miners' hotel on the West Coast. The hotel offers six themed ensuite accommodation rooms, each with its own Victorian decor, antique furnishings, modern amenities, and West Coast charm. These rooms cater to different budgets and provide a unique experience. Additionally, the hotel provides restored and replica cottage accommodation, featuring contemporary ensuite bathrooms with showers and double vanities. There is one accessible room on the ground floor and five rooms on the first floor. Some rooms also offer free WiFi access.

The hotel's restaurant and bar are open daily and provide great facilities for cyclists. It is conveniently located, being only a 2-minute drive from the historic Dillmanstown gold-mining town, a 14-minute drive from Paroa, and within a 25-minute drive from Greymouth and Hokitika.
