Description

The name Nga Waka was chosen to reflect the sense of place, and it is taken from Nga Waka A Kupe (The Canoes of Kupe).

The winery produces small volumes of fine Martinborough wine from estate-grown grapes, which surround the village of Martinborough. Visitors to the winery can enjoy tutored tastings at their new, immersive cellar door, showcasing their offerings of mainly Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and small amounts of Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, and Rose (from Pinot Noir).

Tutored Tastings at Nga Waka

Nga Waka offers Tutored Tastings at their new, immersive cellar door. The Tutored Tasting includes wines from their library stock alongside current releases, taking about 30-40 minutes for up to 6 people. To book, visitors can email Nga Waka with their preferred time, date, and phone number or book online.
