The network of beams, rafters, and braces are interlocked and secured by wooden pegs, which remain exposed for guests to marvel at. Built in 1992, the house is a labor of love and a dream house in the country. The timber used in its construction was provided by Cyclone Bola in 1988, including 25 cubic meters of macrocarpa and poplar, plus oak spikes.
