Canoe Safaris Lodge

Canoe Safaris Lodge is a small and comfortable accommodation located at 6 Tay Street in the town of Ohakune, New Zealand.

The lodge is situated on the southern slopes of Mount Ruapehu, making it a great base for exploring the Ruapehu area. The lodge features secure, modern, quiet, and warm studio units that can sleep 1-5 people. The units have ensuite bathrooms and a small kitchen facility that has all the basics. Units can be combined to suit families and groups. The lodge also has a drying room, Sky TV, and free Wi-Fi.

Canoe Safaris Lodge has a new Hot Spring Spa Pool, which is perfect after a week of canoeing the Whanganui River or after a day on the slopes. The lodge is open for winter accommodation during the ski season, and a surcharge applies for weekends. The lodge only accepts two-night bookings for winter weekend stays (Fri-Sat) and school holidays.

Canoe Safaris Lodge is 18km from the base of the Turoa Ski Resort. The lodge offers pre and post-trip accommodation for summer Whanganui River trips. If the accommodation option is sold out, guests can call the lodge to add it to their booking. The lodge also has an overflow motel that they use in peak times, which is located just around the corner.
