Description

Paradise Dam is a RCC gravity dam located in Queensland, Australia.

It was built in 2005 for irrigation purposes and is owned by Burnett Water and operated by Sunwater. The dam wall is up to 37.1 meters high and spans approximately 600 meters. The impoundment created by the dam is called Lake Paradise.

The facilities at Paradise Dam include non-powered camping sites, environmentally friendly toilets, covered gas barbecues, a concrete boat ramp, fish cleaning stations, and a public lookout area. The lower camping area, operated by the North Burnett Regional Council, offers non-potable water and toilets. Pets are allowed in the area, and fires are permitted in designated fire pits.

The recreational park is near Goodnight Scrub National Park and Bundaberg. It is an ideal location for camping, fishing, and boating, with a concrete boat ramp and fish cleaning stations available. The public lookout area offers stunning views of the dam and surrounding landscape. Although there are no showers, the environmentally friendly toilets and covered gas barbecues provide a comfortable camping experience.
