Paras Reserve, located at 30 Arcadia Drive, Carrum Downs 3201, is a popular playground in South East Melbourne.
Nestled among beautiful native trees, it offers a range of activities for kids of all ages. The playground is divided into areas suitable for older and younger children.
The older kids' area features a variety of play structures, including a spiral slide, wave slide, scrambling wall, ladder with square rungs, tunnel, fireman's pole, walkway, chain bridge, chain traverse, ladder, climber, and flying fox. These provide plenty of entertainment for older children. The younger kids' area has a newer playground structure with a curved slide, tree ladder, shop front, climbing mat wall, abacus, and steering wheel. There is also a separate area with a swing and a springer.
In addition to the playground, Paras Reserve offers various facilities for families to enjoy. These include a shelter with a table, shaded table, unshaded seats, water tap, and BBQ. The park also has a tennis wall and grassy areas that can be used for picnicking or playing.
Paras Reserve is open year-round and is best visited during the day to take advantage of the sunshine and warmth. It is approximately a 45-minute drive from Melbourne, located near the Southern Eastern suburb. Public transport is also available, with the Carrum Downs Shopping Centre bus stop being the closest. From there, it is a 20-minute walk to the reserve.
