Patsy Durack's Rose Gardens Gooseberry Hill is a tranquil garden located in Gooseberry Hill, about __ km southeast of Perth in Western Australia.
The garden surrounds Kareela, the old Archbishop's holiday home, built in 1915.
This garden is home to hundreds of field rose bushes, with most of these rose bushes having their own individual plaques. Visitors are allowed to identify the different roses and can include these in their own gardens. Walking through the rose gardens is a sensory experience that includes a wonderful aroma and perfume of roses, and the sight of beautiful field rose bushes in different colors and varieties.
The garden is open to the public on Sundays from 10am to 4:30pm. Tours and groups can visit by appointment from Monday to Saturday. This flexible schedule allows visitors to plan their visit accordingly.
Wheelchair access is available, making this experience open for everyone to enjoy.
To get to Patsy Durack's Rose Gardens Gooseberry Hill, drive from the Perth CBD southeast along the Great Eastern Highway. Take the turn-off onto the Gooseberry Hill Road and follow the signs to Kareela. Free parking is available on-site.
