Description
Penguin Island is unique because it is home to the largest colony of Little Penguins on the west coast.
Penguin Island offers visitors a range of recreational opportunities while enjoying the breathtaking marine and coastal scenery.

Fishing
Visitors are welcome to line fish from the general use areas of the island. Fisheries bag limits and size regulations apply and please be considerate of other visitors.
Diving
There are a number of diving and snorkelling spots along the Island's coastline. Explore the reefs and seagrass beds around the island that form the underwater world for a variety of marine life. Please do not disturb the marine environment, allowing others to have the same experience.
Spear guns or hand-held spears (gidgees) are not permitted on ths island or in the surrounding waters.
Surfing and windsurfing/kitesurfing
Ideal windsurfing/kitesurfing conditions exist in the waters of the Shoalwater Island Marine Park. The western side of the island can produce good surfing, but please take care.
