Pink Sea Cave Catherine Hill Bay: Discover the Unique Pink Caves Tinted by Nature
The Pink Caves, also known as the “Cotton Candy Caves”, “Deep Cave Bay”, or the “Pink Boulder Sea Cave”, are a unique and beautiful set of three caves that have been tinted pink by nature.
Located in the Munmorah State Conservation Area on the NSW east coast, between Budgewoi and Catherine Hill Bay, these caves are a hidden gem that offers a unique natural phenomenon.
From what could be researched, there are no other pink caves like this anywhere else in the world, making the Pink Caves a unique attraction in Australia.
The breathtaking pink sea caves are located at the northern end of Moonee Beach on the Central Coast of NSW. You can explore two main caverns while there. You can also expect to see waves crashing to the sides during high tide, making it too dangerous for visitors.
You should only attempt visiting the Pink Caves at low tide and when the ocean is calm; otherwise, it can be dangerous walking along slippery rocks, and you risk getting washed off. Always visit safely by watching the waves before you go in and while inside the cave.
