As I stroll through the Portland Botanic Gardens, I am surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere, which has been in existence since William Allitt created it in the mid-1800s.
What a delight to find such a diverse array of roses and dahlias, numbering 300 and 130 varieties respectively. It's no wonder these gardens are so beloved.
