Description

The Rattler Trail is a 19 km (12 mi) rail trail located in South Australia.

It begins at Auburn and joins the southern end of the Riesling Trail, following the former Spalding railway line. The trail is named after the old train that used to travel this route, known for its rattling sound.

Passing through scenic farming lands, the Rattler Trail offers breathtaking views of picturesque landscapes on the way to Riverton via Rhynie. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the abundance of flora and fauna along the trail, providing an opportunity to truly enjoy the outdoors.

For visitors without their own bikes, bike hire is available in Auburn, making it easy to explore the Clare Valley wine region and the Mid North of South Australia.
