Description
Red Cliff Yuraygir is a sprawling campground located along the beautiful Yuraygir coastline.
It offers breathtaking views of cliffs, beaches, and kangaroos, making it the perfect spot for camping and beach getaways. To reach the campground, you have to turn off Brooms Head road onto an unsealed but well-maintained looping track. The campground provides basic amenities such as non-flush toilets, wood barbecues, no power, and a drinking water tap.
The Red Cliff beaches are divided into three sections. The straight northern stretch up to Plumbago, the reefy bays and rockpools beneath the cliffs, and a long sandy curve that stretches south to Brooms Head. Swimming in the rock pool is safe and enjoyable on the north side of the headland.
Apart from camping and swimming, Red Cliff offers opportunities for hiking, fishing, and enjoying the natural scenery. The campground is surrounded by bushland and has walking tracks for exploring the area on foot. Fishing enthusiasts will find nearby creeks and beaches to be excellent spots for fishing.
