Description
Sarah Anthony is a Melbourne-based figurative painter and metalsmith with a particular interest in exploring interpersonal dynamics through portraiture and depictions of domestic life.
Her art expression evolves from personal life experiences; is often autobiographical and informed by an art therapy way of questioning and exploring.
She attained a BA Hons in Fine Arts and Silversmithing from Camberwell Art School in London in 1994, and graduated from La Trobe University with a Masters in Art Therapy in 2009.
Portraiture in oils is currently her main area of interest, but she still loves to occasionally tinker at the jewellery bench and make small sculptural pieces.
In 2021 she illustrated my first children’s picture book. ‘Drover’ was published by Walker Books in hardback, and school editions.
