Description

Located in Kingston, Australia, the Sea to Summit Trail offers a unique and challenging hike experience that spans over 32km.

The trail links existing walking tracks and a series of streets to create a challenging walk experience taking you from the amazing beach at Kingston Park to the summit of Mount Lofty. With a total height gain of 1400 meters from sea to summit, the Sea to Summit Trail is an ideal test of your physical and mental capabilities.

While the trail is largely unmarked, trailhead signs can be found at Kingston Beach to help hikers find their way on the Sea to Summit Trail. An excellent map has also been produced by the Friends of the Heysen Trail, Scout Outdoor Centre, and Earth Adventure. This makes it easier for hikers to find their way around safely. The Sea to Summit Trail is an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Adelaide Hills region, challenge yourself with the height gain, and experience the native vegetation. As a result, it is a great opportunity to get out in nature, develop new skills, and learn how to prepare for your next hike while remaining safe on the trail.

The best time to visit the Sea to Summit Trail is during the cooler months of the year, from March to November, and when the weather is mild and pleasant. It is best to plan your hike during this time to ensure the best possible conditions for your adventure.

The Sea to Summit Trail is accessible by either driving or taking a bus from Adelaide, which takes less than an hour. The trail starts at Kingston Park Beach and ends at Mt Lofty Summit,
