The cottage offers uninterrupted views of Front Beach, Mercury Bay, and the moored boats in Flaxmill Bay. It is tastefully decorated and has a sun-filled deck that connects the living spaces. The property is a work in progress, with the cottage theme evolving as more natural timber and early settler furnishings are added. The kitchen, made of NZ Kauri, has a well-loved history after being fitted into Shakespeare Cottage from homes in Northland and South Auckland.
A tidy sleep out, with equally stunning views, is located above the cottage and can accommodate another couple or teenage children. The cottage is conveniently situated between Front Beach and Flaxmill Bay, with a 200m walk allowing easy access to either beach. Flaxmill Bay is ideal for swimming or launching a boat. This location serves as a great base for exploring the Coromandel Peninsula.
