Description

Shark Bay is a small and secluded beach located on the south side of the Evans River mouth, below the Razorback Lookout.

It offers natural protection from the open ocean and has a scenic rocky shoreline, making it ideal for swimming, paddling, or relaxing by the water.

Families and friends can gather at Shark Bay to enjoy picnics, barbecues, and soak up the sun. The area has free cooking facilities and is wheelchair-friendly, with access to the beach via a ramp and picnic shelters provided.

The recent improvement of the southern break wall has made Shark Bay more accessible for all abilities, including wheelchair users. Summer and spring are the best seasons to visit, as visitors can enjoy the sunny weather and cool ocean breeze.

Getting to Shark Bay is easy by road, with the Pacific Highway leading to Broadwater and then turning left to Evans Head. There is free public parking available at Shark Bay, with multiple entry and exit points for convenience. It is perfect for a day trip, weekend getaway, or week-long vacation.
