Description
Shellharbour North Beach is a picturesque and accessible beach located in Shellharbour City, between Barrack Point and Shellharbour Village.
It is a one-kilometre-long beach with clean, white sand that faces east. The beach is patrolled by lifeguards during the summer months, with patrols in place on both the northern and southern ends. Visitors can enjoy various facilities provided on the beach, including showers, public amenities, barbeques, parking, and a children's playground. The southern end of the beach is home to the Shellharbour Surf Club, which offers surf club facilities.
Shellharbour North Beach provides enhanced accessibility for people with disabilities, seniors, and parents with strollers. A beach wheelchair is available, along with a ramp down to the sand and a sand mat to the water's edge. The beach wheelchair can be used when lifeguards are on patrol and is secured near the main car park when not in use. Visitors can obtain the access code from on-duty lifeguards or customer service.
Visitors can choose to visit Shellharbour North Beach at any time of the year, although it is patrolled during the summer months, from September to April.
To access Shellharbour North Beach, visitors can use Junction Road in Shellharbour. There are several car parking spots available off Junction Road.
