Siberia Experience

Siberia Experience is a four-hour wilderness adventure in the Mount Aspiring World Heritage National Park in Makarora, New Zealand.

The trip departs from Makarora, which is a scenic 45-minute drive north of Wanaka. The experience is a combination of a scenic flight, a walk, and a jet boat ride. The scenic flight with Southern Alps Air begins from Makarora Valley and provides stunning views of Mount Aspiring National Park and its awesome peaks before landing at Siberia Valley. The walk is 7km in length and takes 2.5-3 hours to complete. It begins with a climb through native rainforest before descending down into the Wilkin Valley. The walk ends at the Siberia Hut, where a jet boat ride awaits to take visitors back to Makarora.
