Sir Andrew Davis: A Tribute

After the sad news of Sir Andrew Davis’ passing in April, this concert will be dedicated to the legacy of the late conductor, by German conductor, Karl-Heinz Steffens.

The world’s greatest exponent of Vaughan Williams’ music, Sir Andrew Davis, was one of the most distinguished conductors of our time.

The concert opens with two pieces by Beethoven at his most heroic and dramatic, with the outstanding pianist Ingrid Fliter making a welcome return.

Then we welcome back acclaimed German conductor, Karl-Heinz Steffens, himself an admirer of Sir Andrew’s stellar career, to the podium.
