Description
Spend a night by the crystal clear waters of Carey Brook at this well appointed campground.
Snottygobble Loop offers the visitor vehicle based camping opportunities tucked away under the peppermint trees. The 11 camp sites share camp kitchen facilities, and there is a large site which is suitable for groups or families. Camp fees apply.
CAMPFIRES
Campfires are usually permitted, in the provided fire rings only, between April 15 and November 30 but fire restrictions may be imposed at any time and without notice. Bring your own firewood. When fire restrictions are in place campfires must not be lit and any appliance powered by burning solid fuel must not be used. Always comply with any instructions at campgrounds and parks.
Campers´ own liquid or gas fuel barbeques, stoves and heaters can be used at any time, unless a total fire ban has been declared (see ).
Getting There
Snottygobble Loop is approximately 30 minutes from Pemberton. It is located on an unsealed road which is suitable for 2WD.
Bush Activities
Bushwalkers and birdwatchers can see what they can spot from various trails through the scrub, and anglers will find the brook a good spot for freshwater fishing.
Walk Trails
A walk trail which begins at Grass Tree Hollow campsite passes through Snottygobble Loop and takes the visitor through the forest to Goblin Swamp . Distance: 2.5km one way.* Time: Allow 1½ hours. Class: 3 moderately easy.
*This is the distance of the whole walk trail, not just from Snottygobble Loop to Goblin Swamp
