Gladiator - Spartacus - Rachmaninov.
Following on from their sold-out 50th celebration performances, the WA Youth Orchestra returns to the spotlight under the baton of conductor Jen Winley.
Immerse yourself in Hans Zimmer's entrancing classic from "Gladiator", including the ethereal "Now We Are Free," before ascending with the swooning melodies of "Spartacus."
The second half presents Rachmaninov's "Symphonic Dances"—a masterwork steeped in sentimentality and nostalgia and one of his most performed pieces.
Prepare for a night of explosive rhythms, unforgettable melodies and glorious harmonies.
It is a concert that would be at home in any grand arena, as WAYO makes its debut at the spectacular 900-seat Joy Shepherd Performing Arts Centre at St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls.
