Staete Landt Vineyard is a boutique family-owned wine company situated in the famous Rapaura region in Marlborough, New Zealand.
The vineyard boasts a 52-acre estate vineyard that produces premium single vineyard estate-grown wines. All of the Staete Landt wines are 100% estate-grown, and the team is highly committed to their land, vines, and wines.
The founder of Staete Landt Wines, Ruud Maasdam, emigrated to New Zealand from The Netherlands in 1996, convinced that New Zealand was the best place to grow grapes and make eclectic wines. Since then, the passionate team at Staete Landt has taken great dedication to look after the vines, land, and soil to create wines that genuinely represent the unique terroir of Marlborough.
Experience at the Vineyard
Staete Landt Vineyard offers a unique travel destination for wine enthusiasts. The cellar door is uniquely operating from the old 'smoko-room' in the large shed in the middle of the vineyard. Visitors will be looked after by one of the owners, Ruud Maasdam and Dorien Vermaas, or one of the viticultural/winemaking team such as Charles Halliday or Jody Scott. The vineyard is situated in a beautiful setting with lovely gardens that visitors can explore.
