Standing between the CBD and Northbridge, the State Library is now a hub of activity with over a million visitors passing through the doors annually.
Just a short walk from many of the city’s hotels as well as public transport, the State Library is easy for visitors and locals to access. It has eight seminar rooms, ideal for small to medium-sized meetings, presentations and training sessions. Most rooms are named after a different region of Western Australia.
They rooms are all well lit, with pleasant views (the Great Southern Room overlooks the CBD) and within close proximity to the main entrance and coffee lounge. In many rooms, there is an electronic whiteboard as well as a built-in 51cm television and DVD unit, while other audiovisual and presentation equipment is available for hire. With its 35mm film projector and built-in cinema screen, the State Library Theatre makes an ideal environment for video screenings, presentations, product launches, lectures and seminars.
The room also features comfortable tiered seating which make for easy viewing. And if you’re looking for some mid-seminar entertainment, a baby grand piano is also available for hire. A musical interlude could provide the perfect break to an information-loaded day.
