An independent bookshop run by Leigh and her mother June for over twenty six years.

The bookshop reflects Leigh and June’s interests as lifelong passionate readers. It functions as a source of recommendations, a place where good books of many types and subjects may be found and discussed. A place to browse and enjoy the smell of a real bookshop.

The range of books reflect their tastes: one shelf of history but five of gardening. There’s a travel section up front and a large children’s sections, and a loyal local clientele, supplemented by “tourists”.Over the years the big book chain stores have lost their souls (and some more recently their shirt).
