Description
Located in the Nitmiluk National Park, Sweetwater Pool is a serene oasis of crystal-clear water, surrounded by lush vegetation and towering cliffs.
It's the last campsite along the Jatbula Trail, a 62-kilometre long bushwalking trail that starts at the famous Nitmiluk Gorge and ends at Leliyn/ Edith Falls.
The Sweetwater Pool campsite provides modern conveniences, including toilets and an Emergency Call Device located nearby. The campsite is an excellent choice for visitors who want to engage in bushwalking, swimming and self-guided tours in the park.
Dip into the refreshing waters of Sweetwater Pool and bask in the lovely scenery. You can also choose from the many pools in the area where you can cool off and savour moments of pure relaxation. The Jatbula Trail is a highly popular walk, and it's advisable to book online well-ahead of any planned visit to secure a spot.
Sweetwater Pool is accessible using the Jatbula Trail or by taking a short 4.5-kilometre day walk from Leliyn/Edith Falls. Private transport or tour operators can be used to access the Leliyn/Edith Falls if needed. The trail is well-marketed, so visitors can be assured of an easy trek!
