Description

Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk is an eco-adventure located on Tamborine Mountain in Queensland, Australia.

This 1.5 km walk combines forest floor trails, high-tech steel bridges, and a cantilever bridge to offer a unique and exciting experience for visitors. Visitors can stroll amongst the treetops on 300 meters of high-tech steel bridges, offering a stunning bird’s eye view of Cedar Creek falls and the surrounding rainforest canopy. The walk departs from the Eco Info Gallery, which offers comprehensive local flora and fauna interpretive panels & displays and a freshwater aquarium. The trail follows points of interest, including rock pools, a butterfly lookout, a local history enclosure, and sheltered rest areas along the way, until reaching the amazing Cantilever. The halfway point is marked by a lookout over Cedar Creek which is home to various wildlife such as the saw-shelled freshwater turtle, long-finned eel, rainbow fish, shrimps, crayfish, and the 12cm span fishing spider. During this period, the weather is cooler and drier, making it more comfortable to walk the 1.5 km trail. To get to Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk, visitors can drive or take a bus to Tamborine Mountain in Queensland, Australia. The skywalk departs directly from the Eco Gallery, and tickets can be purchased on-site or online. The skywalk takes approximately one hour to complete, and visitors are advised to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water.
