Terrick Terrick National Park

Welcome to Terrick Terrick National Park, a stunning natural escape located in Victoria, Australia.

The national park spans 3,880-hectares (9,600-acres) and was established in June 1988. It is situated around 225 kilometres (140 mi) northwest of Melbourne, with access through the nearby towns of Mitiamo and Bendigo.

Terrick Terrick National Park is home to a vital remnant of Box-Ironbark forests and northern grass plains. Visitors can explore the rich history of the area, as it is located close to Kow Swamp, a renowned palaeontological site that provides insight into the origin of Indigenous Australians.

The national park offers a collection of walking tracks for visitors to enjoy and immerse themselves in the pristine natural habitat. Birdwatchers will be delighted to know that Terrick Terrick National Park is one of the last remaining strongholds for the endangered Plains-wanderer, a rare Australian bird species. It is an important conservation area for Plains-wanderers as part of the Patho Plains Important Bird Area.

For visitors, the park provides a convenient basic campground. The park's elevation ranges from 82m to 196m.
