The Bone Line is a family-owned winery located in Waipara, New Zealand, and named after the nearby K-T Boundary Line.
This global catastrophe signifies the asteroid impact that ended the Mesozoic Era and led to the extinction of Dinosaurs, which is also evident in the fossils of the region. The winery’s labels also feature fossils from the Waipara River, dating back as far as 65 million years.

Established in 1989, The Bone Line makes wine from the vineyard that they began planting, exclusively offering certified organic wines to its visitors. With its biogro certification and membership in NZ Winegrower's, The Bone Line prides itself on its natural and sustainable winemaking practices.
Tastings and New Cellar Door

The Bone Line Walkway, a 2.1 km track, is now open for visitors to walk and check out the new cellar door, which offers stunning views of the vineyards. The walkway is named in reference to the nearby K-T Boundary line, which effectively created the landscape of the area millions of years ago.
