Description

The Coast Track Bundeena is a challenging 26-kilometre multi-day walk located in Sydney's Royal National Park.

It offers breathtaking views of the coast as you traverse through sandstone escarpments, sandy beaches, coastal heath, forest, and coastal rainforest.

Along the track, you'll find incredible coastal lookouts, swimming spots, seasonal wildflowers, and opportunities for whale watching. The northern section of the walk, from Bundeena to North Era, covers around 18 kilometres and provides scenic stops along the way. The North Era Campground is an ideal overnight stop, and advance bookings are required. The southern section of the walk covers eight kilometers and takes around three hours, passing through the coastal rainforest of burning palms and palm jungle.

The best time to experience The Coast Track Bundeena is between spring and autumn. Spring months offer vibrant flora and fauna, while autumn months provide a comfortable temperature for walking.

To access the track, you can drive to Bundeena from Sydney's CBD, which takes approximately 55 minutes. Alternatively, you can take a ferry from Cronulla to Bundeena Ferry Wharf. The walk is also accessible by train via Otford Station or by bus via Bundeena.
