Visitors can also become a kiwi chick sponsor and help the hatchery save kiwi. Each kiwi chick that is born at the National Kiwi Hatchery is special and named by their sponsors. Visitors can add their name to the kiwi wall of fame by becoming a kiwi chick sponsor. The hatchery is open every day, but bookings are essential, and visitors are encouraged to book 48 hours in advance to secure their spot.
