The Old Oak Boutique Hotel

The Old Oak Boutique Hotel is a luxurious waterfront hotel located in Mangonui, New Zealand.

Originally built in 1861, the hotel was completely restored in 2009, and now offers modern amenities and superior comfort. The hotel features a colonial-inspired garden with herbs and vegetables, a petanque court, and harbour view verandas and courtyards.

The property offers free Wi-Fi access, ensuite bathrooms, and flat-screen TVs with freeview channels. Each luxury suite includes modern bathrooms with amenities, kitchenettes, and heating. Some super king-size beds can be separated into 2 king-single beds. Each room includes a hairdryer, bathrobes, and tea/coffee making facilities.

The hotel offers three luxury suites: the Ponga Harbour view suite, the Pohutukawa luxury suite, and a one-bedroom suite. The Ponga Harbour view suite is a two-room luxury suite that is upstairs with views, while the Pohutukawa luxury suite is a spacious ground floor suite with harbour and garden views. The one-bedroom suite is upstairs with harbour views from the bedroom and access to the upper front veranda.

The hotel is a short three-minute walk on the scenic Mangonui Heritage Trail Walk to local restaurants and shops. The hotel is also an ideal location for day trips to Cape Reinga.
