Des believes that the limitations of the gardening conditions in Perth, such as water restrictions, should not prevent the establishment of a garden that is stylish and functional, one that not only looks good but feels good to be in. The company imports authentic traditional and contemporary French pottery from the south of France, authentic traditional terracotta pots from Italy, modern contemporary Italian pots and furniture from the north of Italy, and glazed Burmese pottery.

These collections offer great versatility to the creation of a garden and its features, allowing many different styles to be developed. Des makes regular trips to Europe and the Eastern States to source stock and keep abreast of new offerings and directions. He is a regular visitor at the Milan Furniture Fair, where the latest contemporary outdoor living products are exhibited.

While The Terrace Gardener’s main focus will always be firmly rooted in pots and plants, the product range has been expanded to include contemporary garden furniture through an exclusive distributorship with Italian company Serralunga.
