Description

Soak up the stunning views of the Southern Ocean crashing against the shore from the top of the cliff at Tookulup.

Situated on a 100 metre high limestone cliff, Tookulup is a viewing platform which provides sensational views of the fury of the Southern Ocean. The platform is accessible by wheelchair. It is also perfect for whale watching in season, and visitors have the chance to spot shoals of salmon and pods of dolphins pass by year round.

Getting There Tookulup is approximately 1¼ hours from Pemberton. It is one of the few sites in the D’Entrecasteaux National Park which is accessible by sealed road.

Walking Trail One of the best ways to experience the wildness of this coast is a walk along the towering cliffs. The Cliff Top Walk is an exciting walk which winds its way along the cliff top, connecting Tookulup with Point D’Entrecasteaux and allowing the visitor to experience being buffeted by the winds which roar across these cliffs, while looking down at the churning Southern Ocean below. Distance: 1.3km one way. Time: Allow 1 hour. Class: 2-3 Moderately easy.

Whale Watching A whale watching platform is set high on the limestone cliff, providing unbeatable views of the southern coastline and limestone cliffs. The best time for whale watching is September to June.
