Description

Trinity Beach, located in the Cairns Region, Queensland, Australia, is a breathtaking coastal suburb with a relaxed ambiance and a warm and welcoming community.

It is a popular seaside destination with a population of 5,488 as per the 2016 census.

Trinity Beach is situated around a 2 km wide beach that stretches for approximately a mile along the Coral Sea eastern coast. It is a 20 km (10 mi) drive from Cairns city centre and just 6.6 km from Smithfield.

The suburb holds a significant cultural integrity as it is situated in the traditional Aboriginal country of Djabugay (Tjapukai). Its name originates from Trinity Bay. Trinity Beach State School, which opened in 1979, is located on Wewak Street. In 2011, the suburb had a population of 4,734.

Trinity Beach State School is a government-owned primary school (P-6) that provides quality education to 923 students. It has a dedicated team of teaching and non-teaching staff, with 60 teaching staff (57 full-time equivalent) and 36 non-teaching staff (22 full-time equivalent) in 2016.
