Description
Crafting vibrant, textural and moorish wines truly reflective of the environs they’re grown in.
In the winter of 2021, a fortuitous internet search came across a once in a lifetime opportunity to become custodians of a truly unique vineyard on the rugged and spectacular Flinders Island, located in Bass Strait off Tasmania’s northeast coast. The grapes are tended by hand using organic principles with help from family, friends and the local community the resulting grapes are then fermented and bottled in the unassuming onsite winery.
Initially planted in 1999 by Roger and Bev Watson, the established vines thrive in the pristine environment of bright sun, clean air and plentiful winter rains. There are approximately 6000 vines separated into 3 blocks surrounded by vegetation windbreaks including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon.
