Description
A beautiful walk or bike ride along the Clutha River which can be easily extended to a longer loop with the Newcastle Track.
The track starts at Albert Town Bridge and winds along the Clutha River / Mata-Au to historic Rekos Point Conservation Area. A trackside feature is the network of century-old gold mining workings. Visit the historic Luggate Hotel for lunch or combine with the Newcastle Track by crossing the river at Red Bridge to make a great mountain bike loop ride.
